Born December 14, 1979, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kyle Shanahan is the son of two-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Mike Shanahan. He attended Saratoga High School in California while his father served as offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, then Cherry Creek High School in Colorado when his father became head coach of the Denver Broncos.
