Murat Ergün was born on May 15, 1984 in Erzincan. In 1996, he started acting in two musical plays. In 2000, he started his academic theater education with a scholarship from Bakırköylü Artists Association. On October 6, 2001, he founded the Sanat Yolcuları (Art Travelers) theater group.
