Oliver trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His theatre work includes playing Dave Davis in the Kinks musical Sunny Afternoon in the West End, Anthony and Cleopatra (Chichester Festival Theatre) Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare at The Tobacco Factory) and Platonov (Arcola).
