Plot
After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer—he’s an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.

It has only been 20 years since Roswell was a sleeper hit on the WB, so I guess I didn't think we needed a re-boot. It hadn't occurred to me just like I never thought we needed another version of K-Mart, but Wal-Mart seems pretty popular. This reboot was just as good as the original. It even had a nod to the decade that the original show was, AND guest starred one of the original cast members (which I only realised in the last episode of season 2)! Though while the setting sees the characters as adults rather than teens in highschool, it did retain the elements of science fiction, drama and mystery.
