Plot
During the reign of Long Hua, court power struggles intertwine with a forbidden romance. Xiao Duo, a formidable eunuch conspiring with Prince Fu to seize the throne, rescues Bu Yinlou, a tribute lady meant to die for the late emperor. Forced into each other’s lives, they slowly fall in love despite their unequal status. Their bond deepens on a journey to Jiangnan, but threats from rival factions, the palace, and Xiao Duo’s hidden identity place them in constant danger. Some kind of very "brutal" (Ep.2 beginning "Handsmaid Tale"-Style) in some aspect, but for me also very "asthetic", wonderful pictures and camera-quality/-work.. wonderful colors..(i watch it right now only for the "asthetic" aspects).. (i´m now @ EP2 will post more about it ! ;-))
